Hi everyone, I know this question isnt directly related to game maker, but since I just bought the Spine Essential to use for my game maker project, I thought this might be an okay place to ask.

I bought Spine Essential to use for my animations, but I am confused as to what Spine Runtimes is, and the other general license stuff. I was reading through the license agreement but a lot of it is confusing to me. Is there anything I really need to watch out for if I use animations made in Spine for my game? I figured if I bought Spine, I am free to use my animations created in it in my game with no problems. Can anyone shed a bit of light on this? I appreciate any info in advance.

Hello,

The Spine Runtimes, in essence, allow you to integrate animations that you create with Spine into a game engine or game toolkit of your choice so long as it is supported, either officially (meaning, we develop and support the runtime) or via a third-party runtime (that is maintained by the community), like the one for GameMaker.

Are there any specific questions about the Spine Editor license agreement that we can help clear up for you? You are indeed correct that you're free to use the animations that you create with Spine in your game without issue.
