The problem is definitely that the installer file is damaged. It does a check to make sure it hasn't been modified, and you get that error because it detected it had indeed been modified.
If you download it multiple times and it's still damaged, that would indicate that either what you are using to download it is doing a poor job (try a different browser? different internet?), or possibly some bad software on your computer is damaging the file (yikes!).
