  • 4.1.25 beta graph ease in and out button missing

Hi!

I have been using spine for a while now, and I absolutely love the program. I tried out the latest beta (4.1.25) with a new project, but I’ve noticed that the graph no longer contains the ease in and out buttons? Has it been permanently removed or moved somewhere else? I’ve tried looking everywhere in the forum as well as the changelogs and couldn’t find any mentions of it, so apologies if it’s already been addressed.

Thank you and have a nice day!

Hi, thank you for posting on the forum! If you want to quickly change the interpolation to ease-in-out, you can do so with the Bézier button on the toolbar on the Graph view. This is exactly the same as the editor 4.0:

The toolbar can be hidden by unchecking the checkbox in the view option. This option has also existed since 4.0, but if you are not seeing the Bézier button, this may be the cause of your problem:

Please let me know if this is not the button you are looking for in the first place.

Hi,

Thank you so much for the swift reply, I really appreciate it! Sadly its not quite what I'm looking for; it's the ease in and out buttons next to the handle separation button in the toolbar. Attached is an image showing the toolbar for beta 4.1.25, and the latest stable, 4.0.63.

As I'm still learning my way through the graph editor, the two buttons were really helpful; so I'm wondering if they've been relocated or if they've been removed completely.

Thanks again!

In 4.1 we added the Curves view, where you can save curve presets. Since the ease in and out buttons duplicate the curves view presets, we thought it best to reduce the number of buttons in the graph toolbar, which has quite a few. You can configure the curves view to show only the presets, if you don't have much space on your screen:

It was sort of a test to see if anyone notices

you are the first one to mention it. We could bring them back, maybe they appear only when there is enough room to display everything in one row of toolbar buttons. Though using the curves view presets allows you to customize the ease in and out presets.

Hi,

Thank you so much for the explanation; the duplicate presets makes sense! How do I go about loading presets, though? I've checked the curve view panel, and the presets section seems to be empty; would I need to make my own, or is there a way i can make it similar to the ease in and out options that was previously in the graphs toolbar?

Thanks!

You'd need to make your own: make a curve in the curves view like you want and click the + button.

Alright, got it. Thank you so much for the help! 😃
