Nasty situation: Reconstructing the source files from export

Hi,

it happened that the animator we were working with somehow is not responsive anymore, and left our team with this:

on December 16th. :x

Now, the project can still go on without animations for a while, but if he is not going to reappear we're stuck with this, and he's also already been paid for 50%.
Needless to say, that's not enough for us to work with to make a final build.

Is there any way I can reconstruct something from these files up to the source Spine files? :sweat:

Maybe this is not the right section to ask, but we may be needing an animator to complete this guy's job. I can't know the remaining budget but I can introduce anyone willing to know more info to our project leader.

The latest Spine editor comes with a Texture Unpacker.
And I guess you know about the Import Data... menu item.

That means the individual images can be unpacked from the atlas.
And the .spine project can be rehydrated to some extent from the jsons. (if it wasn't exported with nonessential data, some of the original project information won't be there)

The limitations of the unpacker when it comes to PMA-ed textures should be fine as long as you don't have to add new images.
You otherwise need the original images.

So, it should be partially possible to reimport some data.
No, I'm not aware about the Import Data feature as I only bought the license to use the runtimes, I delegated all the job to the animator.

I really hope to be able to restore all of the animations contained so that someone else with the appropriate license (I have the basic so I can't probably import animations with mesh deformations) will be able to complete his job :-/
