  • Shift all frames at once dope sheet?

Hello,

I spent some time setting up a run animation with lots of moving parts and now I want to play with the timing between steps, but I'm having trouble selecting all keyed items under one frame.

Initially I was just clicking on the root bone which would back me out of all prior selections and show everything, but since I've added some movement to that as well it now just shows those keys.

Let me know if I'm not being clear here (I'm new to this), I just want a "zoomed out" view of the dope sheet where I can see all the keys for all the bones/objects over the course of an animation.

Thanks,
Brett

Hey Brett, if you press space you can easily deselect everything, therefore seeing the complete dopesheet.
to select at once all the keyframes present on one frame and move them all, just select one of the white keyframe on the first row (the blue ones indicate mesh transormations, but can do the same effect):

You can also filter the dopesheet view to display only specific kinds of keyframes, but of all the bones.

Wow, so simple! Thanks!

Also, holding alt while dragging moves the selected keys and all keys after them. You can also click the Shift button.

Is there some situations where some keys can't move?

I'm at the very top of my timeline, so all keys are taken, but some stays in place. Attachments keys and a few translate. From several bones and attachments.
I used to press alt before, but now with 3.6.48, it's working differently.

Have you tried selecting them all by clicking and dragging over the dopesheet and then moving them?

Yep, it works when I select everything. But before, I didn't have to do this. Because it's more quick with 'alt' 🙂

I've the same issue on my timeline, using the "shift" button doesn't move all the keys. Or even "alt". I'm on 3.6.48 by the way :/

It seems like if you click alt it will move all the keys of the bones that have a key on the selected column, but not the ones that are missing a key on the column where you click the mouse.
and the shift button is actually doing the same.

I've opened an issue to track this: Shift button and pressing alt don't move all the keyframes after the selected one · #305 · EsotericSoftware/spine-editor

My alt key and shift key are not allowing me to move any key frames. I can't even click on a key frame directly to move one at a time. Am I doing something wrong. I am currently hovering my mouse over the keyframes in the dopesheet specifically relating to a rotation of an object and I am unable to move the keys. I have tried making a box and then pressing alt while simultaneously clicking the left mouse button and dragging to no avail. Please help clarify this for me.

Did what any idiot could do. Restarted the program. Now moving keys is as easy as literally clicking and dragging. Frustrating to know that this issue could happen mid animation though.
