Bounded Biharmonic Weights
Hi,
I just ran into this Siggraph paper from 2011 "Bounded Biharmonic Weights for Real-Time Deformation" which looks interesting. See the explanation video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9fqm8vgdB8

Maybe Nate is already familiar with it, but I didn't see a mention of it on the forums.

yeah, that looks cool. to use these different altering modes on the same object (crocodil) at the same moment.

I'm not fully aware of which of the tech we use from that, but we've been working closely with the authors of it for the automatic weighting and mesh generation. For the deformations themselves we use linear blend skinning.
Yep, Spine uses BBW.
