Thank you so much! And I appreciate the feedback on the gameplay. I have lots to refine before the next project. The score code is buggy too, but I think I'll have those problems resolved in short order. Anyway, thanks for the physics update. Really no problems there hah hah

This is the game that I've been working on instead of working on the Particle Editor: https://raeleus.itch.io/bad-force-2
My goal was to learn the new physics update with Spine and couple that with a Box2D platformer. I think I achieved that pretty well. I love the physics system and I'll be using it all the time now! Now I need to get back to work lol.

  • There isn't any padding to the left of the checkmark for replace, making it look unsightly

With this libGDX jam, I decided to try working with skins. It was really helpful to combine different hair styles with body types. I was pretty confused on how you were supposed to combine the different skins before, but I got a pretty good handle on it now:

Oh, I thought that was just me phone being whack. Yeah wth printful! Lol

    Whoah, thanks! That's pretty nifty.

Nate ahh that's great! I got mine on a dark gray. It looks good, but I placed the image too low. I'll have to try again.
My libgdx shirt has survived dozens of washes, so your's is sure to last too!

Hah, I'm doing the same with the esoteric logo on the back. And yeah, they always got the hot people to model for the products. Makes me feel very masculine lol.

Thank you so much for the detailed response and being open to us printing our own shirts! I usually use printful.com. They have a wide variety of shirts and other products at really affordable prices. Another one to add to my collection!

Hello. Very simply I want to buy merch/swag/etc. I want to buy a Spine shirt. I like promoting libs/utilities that I support at work. I'm saddened that I don't see an Esoteric store.

  • Thanks for playing! Yes, so many bugs and very unbalanced. I burn myself out every time I do a game like this, sadly.

  • I made this game for the libGDX Jam of March 2023. I cheated and spent an extra week on fixing bugs. So many bugs...

I used Spine for the intro logos which I'm pretty happy with. I also used Spine for the animation overlays in the game UI which worked quite well. Just centering a Spine animated Image over a table or button adds a lot of pizazz, so I'll probably be doing that a lot more in the future. Thanks for making such a great tool folks!

  • Ahah, thanks! I was caught up on it being 14 and 15

  • Hello. I ran into a weird issue where my Image Sequence is showing 2 missing frames (frames 14 and 15 of the Spark animation). Is this a known issue? I have attached a zip of my project.

    Thank you.

Hey hey. I decided to go with text animation for the latest libGDX jam trailer and Spine worked flawlessly on this end:

I pretty much did most of the editing in Spine and only needed Da Vinci Resolve for crossfades and stuff. The new sequence feature is really nice because I do a lot of frame by frame animation. I used to have to use an obscure python script to generate those. The only issue I have is that sequence requires me to manually type the attachment name and frame start and end. I'm pretty sure Spine can figure those out automatically given that it does so for duplicating skeletons and such.

Other things I had to work around are not having tools to align stuff and no way to measure distances. I just used mockup PNG's and bones used strictly for aligning stuff. It makes the project messy, but it doesn't really matter since I'm just rendering to video.

I forgot to mention that I used Rhubarb Lip Sync for the guy's speech at the end. I'm amazed that project is still active and compatible with the latest versions of Spine. Well done!

Anyway, thanks for making Spine awesome and the keeping up with the awesome updates!

With so many panels vying for space in the editor, I have resolved to resizing the window to cover both of my monitors in my dual monitor setup. It's great because I can keep my tree and preview open on my second monitor and completely use my first monitor for the dope sheet and editing. This works well enough, but this makes it so that the taskbar button for Spine ends up on the wrong monitor. I also have to reset the window position every single time I start Spine. Getting the edges right is a pain too because I can't just click the maximize button. I would look at how DaVinci Resolve handles dual monitor support as inspiration. Thanks for your consideration.
